This objective lens is specifically designed for use with the XX1080 image intensifier tube in military night vision devices. The fast F1.0 design is optimised for low-light applications and a large image diameter. An adjustable iris and ND filter are provided allowing use over a full range of lighting conditions from near-dark to mid-day sun. The iris control ring is toothed for a geared drive. There is no focus adjustment ring.

Please note:

The image plane is very close behind the rear lens element, rendering this lens unsuitable for most types of cameras.
The image plane is designed to exactly match the XX1080 intensifier tube photocathode.
