This unit is a high speed, high voltage avalanche step generaor that should produce a minimum 2kV step into 50 ohms, with a PRF of up to 1KHz. We tested this unit with an HP 54120 12GHz sampling oscilloscope and a total of 80dB attenuation. See below. The rise time should be around 100pS, and the peak voltage over 2000V into 50 ohms (a peak power level of 80kW!). The waveform is not as expected and the unit may be faulty. No time to investigate, offered as is for "Spares or Reapir".
