The HP 3552A provides an audio test oscillator covering 40Hz to 60KHz with an output level from -60dBm to >+10dBm, and a measurement function that indicates signal level and frequency. There is also a noise measurement function. Designed for testing telephone lines and other similar transmission systems, but also VERY useful as a general purpose audio test set. 150, 600 or 900 ohm terminated or unterminated measurements.
E.g. measure the frequency response of an audio amplifier including tube amps, with a microphone connected to the input it is also possible to measure an amplifier / loudspeaker combination. Built to last, and it looks so much more impressive than some of the Chinese alternatives. Not currently calibrated.
In excellent condition and fully working. Nice.
