Notes
This calculator predicts the free-space path loss for a given frequency and distance.
The results are not valid for the near-field, and hence the distance should be more than a wavelength.
The calculation does not include the effects of absorption by environmental effects, terrain or curvature of the earth, it is the "free space" case.
Enter values for frequency (in MHz), and distance (in km). If antenna gain values are entered, these will be included in the calculation.
