The Racal RA1795 is a high specification communications receiver. This unit is configured for continuous coverage from 20MHz to 511.99999MHz, with multiple filter bandwidths and multiple demodulation modes. The bandwidths available are 3/10/20/50/100 & 300 KHz, with internal demodulation of AM/FM/USB/LSB and CW. There is a memory store/recal function, fast and slow tuning modes (knob), direct frequency entry, tunable BFO, adjustable IF/AF gain, COR/squelch control, Signal level bar graph and tuning.
As will be seen below, there is a small fault on the bandwidth display, with a couple of LED segments that are continuously illuminated. A very minor fault and probably a very simple repair. We have tested a number of RF frequencies and all of the demod modes, no faults found. In excellent clean cosmetic condition, with just a few signs of wear around the edges of the front panel and on the lid.
