The Anritsu MT8820A is a 30MHz to 2.7GHz Communications Analyser optimised for testing digital devices such as mobile phones. As with similar equipment manufactured by Agilent or Rhode & Schwarz, it also has other uses. A few button clicks, and it becomes a very useful CW signal generator covering 30MHz to 2.7GHz. A few more clicks, and it is an FFT spectrum analyser.
A very nice bonus is that the GPIB port is compatible with Softplot, the industry standard measurement presentation software.
