The HP 83711A is a synthesised CW signal generator covering 1-20GHz in 1KHz steps. This unit is standard spec (no options). The output level is adjustable over the range -7 to +13dBm (frequency dependant) using the internal power levelling, or a somewhat wider range of control is available using an external power meter for levelling. The GPIB interface allows full remote control, so entirely possible to sweep the unit under computer control. Ideal low-cost alternative.
